Inspired by the vibrant tapestry of entrepreneurship, HUE was born with a mission - to amplify the voices and impact of start-ups and small Black-owned businesses. Our commitment is woven into the fabric of recycling dollars in marginalized communities by creating a platform to connect multi-cultural consumers to companies whose products were made with them in mind.

HUE’s creator recognized there was a void where BIPOC, women-owned, and ally brands could co-exist to give women of color a vendor marketplace that catered to their unique needs and wants. Launched in Brooklyn at the height of the natural movement in 2016, HUE expanded to other cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, DC, Philadelphia,  and pioneered the first natural hair focused beauty event in Austin, Texas during SXSW at the historical George Washington Carver Museum.

HUE, which stands for hair unites everyone, has grown into the premier beauty and hair exposition serving the northeastern corridor with brands represented from across the United States. Amassing thousands of consumers during its multi-year run, HUE Affair is at the intersection of culture, community, and consumer connection.

Sabrina Boissiere is the creator of HUE, an event brainchild of her company Natural Partners in Crime (NPIC), a natural hair and lifestyle marketing and branding platform based in New York City.

She wears many entrepreneurial hats - brand strategist, content creator, & global event producer. HUE Affair by far is her favorite event and her baby!

Via her powerhouse event & marketing brand NPIC, Sabrina works with U.S. hair care brands to increase their consumer awareness by producing special activations, and by creating social media campaigns working with top influencers. Her work via NPIC also extends to event production for some of America's larger beauty brands including Palmers, Tropic Isle Living and Urban Skin Rx; as well as top social media beauty influencers including Yolanda Renee of etcblogmag, curlsandcouture, heycurlie and Avielle Amor.

To date, Sabrina has produced over 50 events since 2013 ranging from intimate affairs to large productions with 1500+ attendees across the U.S. in major cities like Austin, Atlanta, Dallas, DC, Miami, Cleveland, Houston and Philadelphia.

Sabrina has also worked internationally producing events and activations in London, U.K. and Jamaica. Her most recent notable 2021 event includes a special in-person influencer event for Palmers.

“This is a labor of love. I’m going to ride this until the wheels fall off. We started in Brooklyn and then we took it on the road and hosted in Austin, Chicago, Houston and Philadelphia. Every year it’s such a dynamic turnout because attendees bring their sister, friends, boyfriends and more. One thing about the Hue Affair, the deals you find here are phenomenal and you won’t get anywhere else.”
